Peach (or other fruit) Cobbler

Ingredients

1 stick butter

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

28 oz can peaches, cherries or ?? drained

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt butter in 2-3 quart baking dish, deep or shallow.

Sift together dry ingredients, & stir in milk. Pour over melted butter -- but do NOT stir.
Pour drained fruit over the batter, and again, do NOT stir.

Bake at 350 degrees for 445-60 minutes, until nicely golden brown.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
